PRIVACY & COMMENT POLICIES

Comment Policy

Amethyst Community Health is written from an adult perspective. That is not to say that this is an adult's only playground. I actively want and encourage engagement from people of all ages, but there is always the possibility that conversations may head into directions that may make some readers uncomfortable. Feel free to look the other way.

Comments on Amethyst Community Health are heavily moderated and anything not related to the conversation will be deleted. There is little tolerance given for typical Internet stupidity. This is supposed to be a safe place for discussion, and in that effort there is zero tolerance given for comments of a racist, sexist, homophobic, or similarly non-inclusive nature. In other words, if you say something particularly stupid, your comment will be deleted.

Though real names are preferred on Amethyst Community Health, you have the right to post comments anonymously, as an online persona, or as your brand or company. First time commenters will be sandboxed until their initial comment has been reviewed. Comment data related to your real identity, such as name, URL, and email address, will never be shared, bartered, or sold to third parties. Your data is used for the express purpose of allowing visitors to participate in visible, public discussion on this site, and nothing else. For the convenience of visitors, Amethyst Community Health utilises the Gravatar system. If you use that service, please be aware that your email address is publicly visible. If you do not use that service, your email address is not attached to your comments. The only information that is publicly visible is your username, and if you choose to add one, your URL.

Commenters grant Amethyst Community Health a licence to use comment data exclusively for participation in online dialogue on this site only, and agree to “hold harmless” Amethyst Community Health, thee midnight refuge (the media production company that publishes Amethyst Community Health), and the authors and moderators of same from any and all legal repercussions, damages, and liabilities perceived to have been caused by participating in this site’s online conversations.
